Hello, Java

So, I’ve started looking into Java and learning it now.
I’ve always found it hard to apply design patterns in my code—especially in UI development using JavaScript, React, and other frontend frameworks. It’s probably not a language or framework problem but more of a skill issue on my part.
But randomly, I came across a Devoxx conference YouTube video on “Revisiting Design Patterns in Modern Java.”. Clicked on it without much thought—just one of those random tech talks to have on in the background. But then the speaker said something along the lines of:
“Design patterns come naturally in Java and blend into the language so well that you don’t even realize you’re using them.”
That line got me hooked.
So far, I’ve been going through the basics—getting familiar with the syntax, tools, and general concepts. And honestly? I’m really enjoying it. Java has a structured feel that makes certain programming principles clearer. Still at the very beginning, and I have no idea how deep I’ll go with Java. Maybe I’ll stick with it for a while, or maybe not.
See how this goes 🚀
